Privacy: which information is visible to whom

24 September 2026 updated · 2 min read · 9 views

This guide summarizes who can see your information on the platform. Legal details are on the Privacy and Terms of Use page.

Your profile

Name, photo, cover, title, institution, city, about section, interests, and connections are on your profile page. Who sees them is determined by Settings → Privacy → Profile visibility: Public, Members only, or Private (only me). Even if you choose Private, your name and photo will still appear next to the posts and comments you write.

Your demographic information

Gender, age range, province/region, participant type, and sector are optional and never visible on your profile. They are not shown to other members and exhibitors; they only appear as aggregated numbers in project reports and the dashboard, and groups smaller than five people are hidden. You can change them to “Prefer not to say” at any time.

Your posts

  • For each post in the feed, you choose Public or Members only.
  • Content in private groups is only visible to the group's approved members.
  • What you write in public groups, discussions, and articles is visible to anyone who can see that area.
  • Your private messages are only seen by you and the person you are messaging.

Your business profile

Information such as company, sector, country, topics you offer, and topics you are looking for are visible only to logged-in members in the match and participant lists in the B2B Meetings section. If you turn off the “Be visible in the B2B directory and match suggestions” option in the Settings → Business profile section, you will not be included in suggestions.

Your meetings

  • Meeting requests, messages, and times are only seen by the two parties and the organizer.
  • The video call link is shown only to the two parties and the organizer; the meeting is not recorded on the platform.
  • The note you write in the post-meeting evaluation is seen only by the organizer, not by the other party.

Your booth and buyer registration

Live booths are open to everyone visiting the fair; contact information on the booth is shown only to members. Booth statistics show only numbers, not the identity of visitors. Your buyer registration is reviewed by the organizer; if approved, a “Verified buyer” badge will appear next to your name.

Visit statistics

The platform does not use cookies for visit statistics and does not store IP addresses; unique visitors are counted with a one-way summary that is updated daily. Details are in the analytics appendix on the privacy page.
