Joining the video call and time difference

Where does the connection come from?

When a meeting request is accepted, the platform automatically creates a Jitsi Meet meeting room. The room name is unpredictable; only the two parties and the organizer see the connection. The meeting is not recorded on the platform. Jitsi Meet is a third-party service; you don't need to create an account, it works in the browser.

If the two parties have agreed on another tool, you can add a Zoom, Google Meet, or similar connection using Use your own link on the meeting page. In that case, the meeting will proceed under that service's own terms.

Joining the meeting

  1. Tap the reminder notification or open the meeting from the My Agenda tab in the B2B Meetings section.
  2. The Join meeting button activates 10 minutes before the start.
  3. Allow the browser's camera and microphone permission.
  4. If you are joining from a phone, you can continue in the browser or use the Jitsi Meet application.

Preparation checklist

  • Use headphones; echo and background noise will be reduced.
  • Choose a quiet and well-lit place.
  • Test your connection, camera, and microphone a few minutes beforehand.
  • Have your product information, price ranges, and any documents you wish to share ready.
  • If there is no common language, join with a translator or a friend who knows both languages.

Time difference

Meeting times are written in Turkey time. If your browser is in a different time zone, the equivalent in “your time” will also be shown next to the time.

  • Until October 25, 2026, Kozan and Larissa use the same time.
  • Greece switches to winter time on October 25, 2026. After this date, Larissa is one hour behind Kozan: a meeting at 14:00 Turkey time starts at 13:00 in Larissa.

When writing the time in a message to the other party, specify which time you mean, for example, “14:00 (Turkey time)”.

After the meeting

When the meeting ends, record your satisfaction and the outcome with Evaluate meeting; details are in the How B2B Meetings Work? guide. If you have planned a follow-up meeting, you can send a new meeting request or continue the correspondence via Messages.
