Business profile and match score
The business profile is an information card that connects you with the right people in B2B meetings and the digital fair. It is separate from your personal profile and is filled out in the Settings → Business profile section. It is only visible to logged-in members.
Step by step
- Enter the name of your company, cooperative, or institution.
- Enter Industry, country, city, and size information.
- Select the Languages spoken.
- Briefly fill out the Products and services section.
- Select the topics you offer: what do you sell, what service do you provide?
- Select the topics you are looking for: what do you want to buy, who do you want to work with?
- Describe your collaboration expectation in a sentence or two.
- Leave the Appear in B2B directory and matching suggestions option enabled and Save business profile.
The completion percentage on the page shows how much of your profile is completed. You will see a Complete profile warning on the B2B page with an incomplete profile.
Topic tags
The topics you offer and look for are selected from a common list; for example, Citrus, Cotton and fiber, Irrigation systems, Sensor and IoT, Drone and remote sensing, Packaging and labeling, Cold chain and storage, Logistics and transportation, Export, Import and bulk purchase, Certification and quality. Everyone using the same tags allows a producer in Kozan to find a buyer in Larissa.
How is the match score calculated?
In the Matches tab, a compatibility percentage appears next to each participant. The calculation considers:
- the overlap between what you are looking for and what they offer,
- the overlap between what they are looking for and what you offer (two-way compatibility brings it to the top of the list),
- being in the same industry,
- the match being cross-border, i.e., between Türkiye and Greece,
- a common spoken language.
The greatest weight is on topic compatibility. If there is no common language, the score drops slightly, and a warning appears on the card: “No common language, a translator may be needed.” In this case, consider attending the meeting with a translator or a colleague who knows both languages.
For better matching
- Only select topics you genuinely offer and are looking for; selecting everything makes the scores meaningless.
- Mark all the languages you speak completely.
- Write concrete information in the Products and services section: product, season, quantity range, certifications.
